Does anyone recognize these scoops?
« on: May 20, 2020, 12:05:30 am »
These are the 1/4 panel scoops on Topnotch's 3800 car. Does anyone recognize the make or the supplier?

The pictures just don't do the car justice! I love a Fiero in white.

Could they have been from Fiero Fiberglass?

Is that the company that went under a few years back and sold off the molds? Why am I thinking "Sage" has something to do with these products? He made some of their stuff if I remember correctly.

Found these on an old copy of Fiero Fiberglass' website. They sure look like them.

Sage did make some of their products, and I believe bought the remaining molds.

They died, except Jimmy.

If you look further, you'll see my scoops on that site.

I wonder if Paul Angel  (Tha Driver) could make them just from pictures? I'd rather not  take mine off for molds to be made.
BTW, if you shine a flashlight into that particular scoop in the pictures (driver's side scoop), you'll see an abandoned wasp nest in there. Just another reminder from when the car sat outside for a while.

I got in touch with Tedd at Sage. He is able to make panels that he says are similar but not exact. It is hard to tell with the reflections but they sure are close.

If you want a pair of Ram Air V6 emblems to go on them, I have some.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Those scoops probably came from Fiero Warehouse (now "Sage Glass Works").
There were 2-3 different styles. I have the IMSA (concave) style.
Sage (aka Tedd Wilson) still probably makes them, but he does it on a "per order" basis. He doesn't stock them like Fiero Warehouse used to. (He has always made them, even in the Fiero Wareouse days, however.)
You can reach him at sgwfiberglass@gmail.com  One of my favorite vendors, and one of my favorite people, really.

Probably not.  Test fits are needed.  The two sides are different.

I got my side scoops from Sage. Best transaction with a custom parts maker I have ever had.

I think a set just showed up on PFF mall, listed as parts in florida.  Or at least they are close to these.
