RW upholstery

I really like the look of Russ's stitched vinyl covers for the HVAC surround, gauge pod and shifter surround and am considering getting some. The question I have is how well do the plastic trim pieces fit? Do they tend to "stick up" because they can't sit flush due to the vinyl covering? I have found some pictures in PFF but was curious if anyone here has had experience with his vinyl wrapped pieces.

I have all of what you are looking for. Everything is a tight fit but it does work. The only problem that you will have is the radio/hvac faceplate piece. Because of the cover it rakes up the space and you will to trim the plastic. This becomes sketchy because the plastic is already brittle and if you tighten it down to much it will break. My longterm goal will be a metal faceplate, just haven't gotten to it yet. Posted is my old setup, I have the radio above the hvac now.
