Gwinnett County Airport (KLZU) Rides Day

I'm too cheap, but maybe some of you rich folk might wanna go:

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to fly in these historical WWII airplanes. Experience the thrill of flying with one of the incredible flying experiences available. From a P-51 Mustang, to flying in the Pilot Maker, the PT-19 Cornell. Whatever you fancy, you are sure to find a flying experience you’ll love, for a day you’ll never forget.

Our shop was just across the street from the Gwinnett County Airport.  My partner had his planes parked there and so did his Dad.  Once when the B17 was to be there, The Father's girlfriend bought him a ride on it for his birthday.  This was prior to 1999 and the price was a whopping $500.

Once they got up in the air, they found that Larry was a pilot and they invited him to come up and take the controls.  He flew the plane up into NC and back.  They wouldn't let him land though.  His name went into the logbook as having piloted the plane.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

When they come to PDK I always go and say some day I'm going to go for a ride.   Really neat stuff.

I looked at the list of aircraft available and got excited when I saw the P51.  That has always been a dream for me to fly in one.  When I looked at the prices  and saw 195. ,  300, and 350 I got really excited but my dream turned into a nightmare when I saw 1795. for the P 51.. :(
Maybe I could do a crowd fund or whatever they call it.
