March 25-26 Storms
« on: March 26, 2021, 08:41:51 am »
Just watching the many reports of the storm damage overnight in Alabama and Georgia.  Are all of our people ok?  It appears some of the tornadoes were very near some of you.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

The storm was rough last night here in Fayetteville. The tornado that hit Newnan skipped over us. My son’s girlfriend’s mom lost at least one whole rental home. They say it was an F4-F5 that hit Newnan. I’ll be spending the day assessing damage at our hotels but I think it will be minor

We got spared. Barely.
It went south of us and created some damage in Franklin, from what I've heard, and then went on to trash Newnan.
We (Tammy and me, and 4 dogs) had about 15-20  tense minutes crammed into the hall bathroom, and my phone alerts went off twice, but we were essentially untouched.
Thought about you, Ralph. The weather service said that the tornado fell apart right before it got to Fayetteville. This after tracking it for 150 miles.

I hope everyone else is okay. Any word from our Sharpsburg folks?

No hail?  We got 3/4"-sized hail, and lots of wind.
