NEW 2024 MEETING PLACE COMING FOR MARCH--EDIT: MAKE THAT MAY

WE WILL HAVE A NEW MEETING PLACE BEGINNING MARCH 2024
To have a wider choice of food items, Charles investigated several locations and presented them to those present at the December meeting.  The restaurants suggested were Cracker Barrel on Delk Road, Marietta, Three Dollar Cafe, Chamblee Tucker Road, Tucker, and 57th Fighter Group, Clairmont Road, Peachtree Dekalb Airport, Chamblee. 

After a short discussion, a motion was made to move to the 57th Fighter Group at Peachtree Dekalb Airport, beginning with the March meeting.

All resent voted unanimously Yes. 

At previous meetings there were discussions of changing our meetings to every other month, starting in January 2024.
That meeting will be held at Luckey's BBQ Place at our regular 10 AM meeting time.
There will not be a meeting held in February
Then we will meet at the 57th Fighter Group in March.  Time to be determined at the January meeting and it will be posted on our home page.

Nice that’s expensive though are we going to be able to patronize that? I know I’ve felt guilty showing up to the BBQ place and not ordering anything cause I don’t want bbq at 10AM lol. $19 for a burger wow. It sure looks like a neat place to hang out though. Definitely beats getting cacti in you at the place we’re at now.

Its close to me so I may actually get to come now and then again.  Its nutty but a $20 cheeseburger is normal ITP fare these days.  I will look at it this way it is only 6 meetings a year now and one is bound to miss one here and there.  You do get a good show with it being right at the runway to watch the planes, so that is a bonus.

Sorry.  I had listed it elsewhere but forgot to put it here. 

The current plan is for 11AM.  That is the time they open, so by the time some will get there, we should be fine.  They still haven't returned my multiple calls to arrange it, so we'll just show up.  If they turn us away, then too bad for them.  The facility is large enough to hold more than 100 people, so we shouldn't be a burden. 

I'll have Admin put the time on the home page.

Those of you who didn't attend today missed a good meal.  At least most of us thought so.  One attendee feels that he may have gotten food poisoning from his selection.  He has been in contact with the restaurant and they have compensated him for the meal. 

Aside from that, the service was an issue for most of us.  Pricing was definitely a subject of discussion.  The noise level was high and members had difficulty in conversing and conducting the meeting, but that's somewhat expected for a busy restaurant.

The proposal on the table is that we move the next meeting to the Cracker Barrel Country Store and Restaurant located at 2150 Delk Rd, Marietta, GA 30067.

 Exit 261 off I-75.  This is the Lockheed Dobbins AFB exit, Delk Road.  The entrance is actually off Franklin Gateway.
