Need fastback GT decklid - color or wing not important
« on: January 04, 2021, 05:38:54 pm »
Very likely going to be entering my 88 LF3/4 into the Optima Ultimate Street Car Challenge (for fun and swap motivation purposes :D ) and their aero rules are quite stringent, logically so.  The only rear downforce solution that works for the fiero and still meets their rules is the IMSA Whale Tail however I still want to keep my stock 88 winged decklid and mustang scoop setup.

Like the title says, color or wing not important.. I would rather not have to do any body work either other than glassing in the IMSA spoiler. :)

Let me know!

Thanks fellas....

There's one in the parts barn.

Is it the gold one from the parts barn thread?

If not, any pics of it available?

How does the parts barn thing work?  Do I bring parts for trade? Make a club donation? :)

This thread was started when we "acquired" the Parts Barn stash.
http://www.gafiero.org/bbs/index.php?topic=2223.0

The Cliffs Notes version, as I understand it, is that paid members can grab what they need.
Non-members will still have access to what they may need at a "reasonable price". (Someone please correct me if I have mis-spoken, on any point.)

With that said, I have grabbed a couple of really useful bits from the stash. Most notably, a set of coolant tubes.
After I installed them, I realized that my old ones (that looked really bad, upon initial inspection) were quite repairable.
So I repaired them and gave them to another member who mentioned that he needed a set.

I’ve got an 86 GT deck lid and wing. I’ll try to take photos tomorrow during the day.

You have it right, Steve.  After being a paid member for 6 months, a member has free access.  Of course we accept parts donations, too.

Marc, I'll have to go back and check the records.  If it was September or later, you're paid for all of 2021, otherwise, the old membership will have expired December 31.

Marc, I checked all the PayPal receipts and the receipt book.  The only thing I have is for May 13, 2020, $25.00 for membership dues.

I'll take the gold decklid...

What's the process of grabbing a part out of the parts barn?

Anybody making a trip 'toward' the north or west side of Atlanta anytime soon?   ;D

Bring a truck, some tie-down straps, and come on out to the meeting on Saturday.  Then follow TopNotch home.  Maybe 10 miles.
