Club Member David Brill in Accident
« on: September 26, 2013, 09:15:21 pm »
I contacted Jesse Brill regarding repair of his car and attendance at Run For The Hills when they didn't attend the September meeting.  This is part of the reply I got from him on September 17.  His Father, David was in a motorcycle accident in late August.

"He was in a motor cycle accident 3 weeks ago and we just got him back home yesterday. He T boned a truck that pulled right out in front of him. He spent 2 weeks in Grady, and 1 week in an acute rehab ward. They put a rod in his leg, rebuilt his knee cap, and he has a plate and screws in his wrist. All in all we are very lucky! He has no brain or spinal trauma. He has gone up and down the stairs a couple of times, and can get around with crutches, a walker, or a wheel chair. We are actually in good spirits around here, I guess because we all know it could have been so much worse."

David, we wish you well and a speedy and complete recovery.

I had communicated with Jesse through emails and that's how I found out about David.  I had sent an inquiry after the initial alert, but I never got an answer.

I hope the rehab helps you out like it did me when I was hit by a car.

I spoke with Jesse several weeks ago and David is doing well with rehab.  He's got rods and screws in him, of course.  I believe he said David was able to get up and down stairs with the expected difficulty.

AeroDon had worked on the Phoenix recently and told me that David's daughter said David was doing well.  She's keeping the Phoenix mobile while David is immobile.
