My daughter has postponed her wedding to a later date (it was to be on March 13), so it looks like I'll be able to drive at least one of my cars. Driving both would be tricky, so I'll need another driver to have both in the parade.

Add Mike Byrd to the list of participants.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

I'm going to be putting an effort in to getting my car presentable before the parade.

You can count me in assuming there are no major delays with getting it ready.

Good.  Doesn't matter what it looks like inside, as long as it shines up good on the outside.  Guess you're keepin' it?!

Probably. Having to drive an automatic just makes me go crazy sometimes.

Here are the directions to where we will meet up prior to driving down to the parade area.  At this time, I don't know where they will stage us when we get downtown.  If I don't post it, I'll have maps when we get to this pre-staging area.

Preliminary Staging Area

Coming from North of Atlanta, on I-75, take Exit 252, Howell Mill Road.

At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Howell Mill Road, and get into the left lane.

Almost immediately, you will see a Kroger shopping center on your left.  This is the preliminary staging area.

Coming from East or West of Atlanta, on I-20, merge to I-75/85 North.
(Coming from I-75 South, you will

Great.  I bet he'll enjoy that.  Probably best to ride the rail in from Doraville.  Unless you know some secret spot, it'll be near impossible to find a parking place or even drive anywhere near the parade.

If you look at a map, we will probably be staged on Ralph McGill Blvd, on top of the bridge where it crosses over I-75/85.  It's right on the corner at Peachtree.  I think Peachtree station is up in that area.  If you do park at Doraville, you may be able to find a couple of cars that have empty passenger seats and you can ride in the parade.  Then we can drive you back to Doraville, on the way to the Diner.

For those of you with GPS's, the Kroger is at 1715 Howell Mill Rd, Atlanta.

Right now, I'm not sure I'm going to have two cars for the parade. The yellow car is acting up (see tech section). I hope I can get it fixed in time.
