Frankenmuth Autofest
« on: September 15, 2022, 04:58:49 pm »

Howdy Folks, just finished a month-long trip to Michigan. Over 4000 miles driven.  Spent two weeks in the UP along Lake Superior and Michigan.  Even made it to Wisconsin.  The highlight, of course, was the Frankenmuth Autofest.  Lots of pictures in the link.  Some dupes, because my wife and I both like cars.  Did my best to filter them, but just remember, my camera battery died during the show...

An interesting thing about the UP is the types of cars up there.  Almost no Mustangs, but plenty of old Mitsubishi 3000GTs and Dodge Stealths.  Plus a LOT of Pontiac Grand Prixs.  More modern vehicles were usually Cherokees (not Grand), Colorados, and Subarus.  Hmmmm, they all offered four wheel drive except the Pontiac.
Red '88 GT 5-Speed, 7730ECM, 1.6 Rockers, and KEYLESS Entry!
Now with a trailer hitch for my bike rack.

All beautiful cars.  Including that Studebaker sitting over by the building.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers
