I've had a goat. No thanks. You realize that goats are browsers, not grazers, right? About the only thing they do not eat, is grass. Goats are smelly, noisy, obnoxious, troublesome animals. They leave their droppings everywhere. We did have a stray goat that was sweet, but that goat was the only one. It was still smelly, messy, and noisy--it just stayed mostly put.
Get a horse, or a pony. They are generally quiet, and can be inexpensive. They are intelligent, and trim the grass to the perfect height. Generally, they are happy with whatever grass. Horses like to be clean. Just choose your breed and background carefully.
Maybe you meant sheep. They are grazers. Actually, sheep can be profitable--more profitable than cattle, between milk, pelt, and meat. They just require lots of care. Again, breed is important.
