Caffeine and Octane will be on Sunday the 11th this month since tomorrow is Easter. Does anyone plan on going?

With everything I have this month, I won't be going.  But I was thinking that the next group showing was in June.

Doesn't have to be a club event, it's a good excuse to get out of the house

I can hear all the neighbors out of the house.  They are navigating their respective yards in some sort of pattern, while pushing or pulling noisy things.

I've threatened to get a herd of goats for that purpose

I've had a goat.  No thanks.  You realize that goats are browsers, not grazers, right?  About the only thing they do not eat, is grass.  Goats are smelly, noisy, obnoxious, troublesome animals.  They leave their droppings everywhere.  We did have a stray goat that was sweet, but that goat was the only one.  It was still smelly, messy, and noisy--it just stayed mostly put.

Get a horse, or a pony.  They are generally quiet, and can be inexpensive.  They are intelligent, and trim the grass to the perfect height.  Generally, they are happy with whatever grass.  Horses like to be clean.  Just choose your breed and background carefully.

Maybe you meant sheep.  They are grazers.  Actually, sheep can be profitable--more profitable than cattle, between milk, pelt, and meat.  They just require lots of care.  Again, breed is important.

Goats are escape artists.
Ponies are assholes.

Goats will graze if they don't have anything to browse.  Put them in a pasture with grass and they'll get down on their front knees and eat grass.  Herds are widely rented out down here to eat kudzu and to clear underbrush and undergrowth while preserving the larger trees.

I can agree that goats are really a nuisance.  Belligerent animals, too.  We had one for a short while when I was a kid.  Like Steve says, they're escape artists.  One escape was all our Billy got when my dad found him on top of his truck.  I don't know how the Goatman ever managed to keep his small heard of goats close to him and his little wagon and to keep them from wandering away when he camped.

The weatherforecaster is threatening rain.  Someone must've pissed her off, about 60%.

If its going to be dry I could meet you there.  Good excuse to get out and take the Chevy for a drive.

Sunday shows 21% chance of rain, so better than Saturday--for no rain, that is.

I'm watching the forecast at this very moment.  All that rain we were to get, starting yesterday, is being pushed back, with some of the heavy stuff going on into mid-Sunday morning.  Or so they're saying.  I swear the weather is like politics.  You never know when to believe it.

The weather people would be more accurate, if their life depended on it.

So, good weather for tomorrow, but not for Sunday?
