2.8 and 3.4 Tidbits That May Be Helpful--Parts
« on: January 29, 2012, 09:18:23 am »
This is some information I've gotten from Aerodonamic over time.  If you have a Fiero info file, you might want to save it there.

The rear main seal that comes with gasket sets for the 2.8 is black rubber.  The one that is  used with the 3.4 is brown rubber or neoprene  No.#BS40464 AutoZone number.  This one seems to seal better.

The timing set No.  is Cloyes #73075 @21.95 + tax.  The speedy sleeve # is HB4127 @6.99+ tax at AutoZone.  This is used to repair the end of the crankshaft underneath the balancer where a groove has been cut into the crank.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers
