Anne called me at work stating the 84 Duke was stuttering, dash lights blinking and just acting totally strange!
She pulled in a parking lot, the car died and after that - NOTHING! Not even dash lights in the instrument panel. The funny thing, trunk and dome lights came on fine.
I was asking myself: What the heck??
Ashby knew instantly where I should start looking; he told me to work from the starter back towards harness and battery.
Sure enough! The nut had come off of the starter (holds on 3 wires)! All made perfect sense then.
Rigged it enough to get her home, waiting for the engine to cool off and replace the nut.
