General Fiero Discussion / roadkill still here
« on: November 21, 2010, 03:43:49 pm »
I got hit by a car but I'm still here. I can't spell to well but I think I can make it. I'm using a wheel chair and had to stop machanics work but I'll be back. They said it will be a while before I can drive again since I broke my clutch leg up so bad. But if you know me you know I'll be back. I broke both collar bones and my clutch leg in 3 or 4 places, busted my head open and got some brain damage. They switched out a few muscles in my leg. got a few ribs busted and a few other things. You people have been great to me and I will be back down there soon.

The Market / 88 4 cylinder 5 speed $1500
« on: March 16, 2010, 08:37:19 pm »
I have an 88 coupe with the SE body panels installed. It needs paint because it's 3 different colors. It has 105,000 miles on the 2.5. It needs 1 headlight motor rebuilt. The seats need covers and it needs a headliner. It also needs a 4 wheel agignment. This would be a great candidate for a 3800 swap. I'm wanting $1500.00 for it.

General Fiero Discussion / South Eastern Fiero Conference
« on: February 28, 2010, 11:17:00 pm »
It's been brought to my attention that I need to start planning our second annual meet. I've been discussing it with Rick Moorehouse and we're putting it in motion. We're pushing for Pigeon Forge, Tennessee in June on the same dates as the PITF car show. It will be at that location. Everyone will bring their Fiero's to the car show then go out and eat somewhere and maybe take a cruise through the mountains of Tennessee. They have a cruise on Saturday night that includes all Pontiacs cruising right up the strip.

This years PITF is set for June 3-5, 2010. You need to plan your vacation this year for this time, if you plan on coming. I'll locate a Motel that will give us a discount so we can all stay at the same place and find us a resturant big enough to hold us all. Then I'll plan a cruise through the mountains that'll be exciting to drive.

The Market / Red 86 SE Automatic $500
« on: January 28, 2010, 08:30:08 am »
It's suppose to have a fresh 3.1 stroker kit in it but when it gets to normal operating temp it only has 2 lbs oil pressure with a manual gauge. The interior it pretty well shot, it's dark grey. Tires are shot but will hold air over night. Front fascia needs replaced. It's an automatic but has a manual radiator installed or should I say laying in the front with only the hoses holding it in. The tranny lines are run around and tied into each other. The headlights are up and not operational. The a/c system has been removed. No exhaust system except for just passed the cat. The car has power windows but they both work off 1 switch, it has power mirrors but they only work up and down, it has rear defrost, performance sound, aux gauges, power door locks, a broken skeleton, cracked dash, cracked insturment surround, warped everything. The good is it has a clear title and a switch key. I'll take $500.00 for the car.

The Market / Jaguar XJ220 prototype (1985 Fiero GT)
« on: October 29, 2009, 08:54:08 am »
Dear Exotic Car/Fiero Enthusiest:

Attached you will find photos of a special project car 10 years in the making. It started off as a 1985 Fiero GT by my father Staten, Sr. (who worked with George Barris and built the original "Batmobile" and "Munsters" cars together). The original Fiero car was wrecked, striped of it's body and now shows off it's beautiful lines identical to the Jaguar XJ220.

This is a one-of-a-kind hand made custom vehicle. There are no kits available at present time, however molds can be taken off of this car and replicated into conversion kits with full copywrite ownership.

I drove this dream car all last summer through the hills and curves of Tennessee and it is so much fun to drove and handles better than a corvette!! You cannot stop at the light or gas station without someone taking your picture or talking to you about the car. This is truely the "number 1" attention getter!! The car does still need some work to complete it fully. There are only 12,000 miles on the original GT engine. However, being a bigger block enthusiast, I recommend a V8 conversion.

This car is currently for sale and open to offers of the highest bid. Original XJ220's are selling for $250K but no one but you will know it's a Fiero.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any further interest in the car or need any other details.

Yours in Health,

Staten, Jr. a.k.a. Rockndoc

General Discussion / Conrad had a heart attack
« on: October 20, 2009, 06:08:57 pm »
Conrad had a massive heart attack yesterday. He's doing fine now. He had one artery that ways 100% blocked and another one almost as bad. They did emergency surgery and installed 1 stint. He goes back in 2 weeks to get the other stint. Again he should be fine if he'll get some rest.

General Discussion / ETFC Fall Cruise
« on: September 28, 2009, 08:42:48 pm »
This will be our 3rd annual fall cruise and it should prove to be our best yet. I've put Rick and Derek in charge of the route. Rick has told me he already has the course set up and it will include Tennessee and North Carolina. The roads were taking this year will zig zag back and forth across the boarders up in the mountains. He's going to make sure there's ample gas stops and a resturant to eat at and a motel close by for those who have a long drive to the start. I'll post more when I get it.
