The Market / riding - run for the hills

oops - you said "run for the hills" not tail of the dragon. I've got to figure out where that run is. I'm going to look around the club site now and figure out how to join too.

The Market / thinking outloud about racing......

I sent the photos to the email you provided. Thank you.

Hmmmm - run for the hills.    :D  That sounds interesting.  Do you have to do the regular driving speed limit on the run?

What would really cheer me up though is putting a roll cage in it, making a few changes, putting it on a trailer and tearing around Barber Motorsports Park or Roebling Road or Road Atlanta.

Is there any interest in the Fiero group about starting a SCCA race team?  I have seen a couple of Fiero's over the years at Road Atlanta. Maybe I just need to put a team together for the Fiero. Fieros race in a different class from my old team - so it would be a totally different bunch of competitors.  I have 7 years experience as a team manager, radio person, parts finder, with car graphics, photographer, and etc. I'm great with organization, detail, and parts, but not a welder or mechanic!

Anyone who wanted to drive the racecar would have to go to racing school which takes a week-end. The best racing school is at Roebling Road because the track is flat, but still fast.

When someone races in the SCCA they have a variety of races to choose from. It only takes racing twice a year to maintain one's race license, but there are all sorts of opportunities. And there is an awesome race each November called charge of the headlight brigade at VIR. It takes multiple drivers because it is a 13 hour race.  It tests everyone's ability to the fullest, but really forms the team. We won our class both years we participated in it.  It would be nice to take a Fiero there and see what it could do as well.

Smiles, Tammy
