This is close to me.  I  used to do one for several years in Sandy Springs at Somerby Senior Living as well, though it did not happen last year.  If I do not get a call from them again I will go to this one.

Just picked up 220 pieces of candy and am warming up my throwing arm.  Michelle is indeed going to drive the Formula.  My V8 friend Jerry will be bringing his Ford woodie.

Official start time for Easter Parade is a 2PM roll out. However, most folks start gathering as early as 1PM to kick tires and look over the cars.  Meet up location is behind city hall/police department in a free city parking lot address is 21 S Avondale Plaza, Avondale Estates, GA 30002.  I will be there with my son at a minimum in the '47, and Michelle has threatened to pilot the black Formula with the girl child.  We tend to run late to most things so expect me there around 1:30-1:45.

Easter Parade is in Avondale Estates.  If you have not been it is a great little area of vintage architecture.  They have a historic board so no ugly McMansions just nicely restored pre and immediate post war housing.   Meet up location is behind city hall/police department in a free city parking lot address is 21 S Avondale Plaza, Avondale Estates, GA 30002. The address can also be put in as 21 N Avondale Plaza as its on the line and one side of the lot is N and the other S.  Meet up is early afternoon, I believe rollout is 2PM but may be 3PM, I will have to get the correct time details.  It is a slow drive and takes around an hour through the neighborhood, police led.  You are welcome/expected, but not required, to bring candy to throw to the kids along the route.  I  generally buy three big bags of Halloween sized candy and have a blast throwing it out both sides of the car.  There is a pre-parade get together usually meeting in the lot up to an hour before to chat and kick tires and at the end of the parade, which is at a local park in the neighborhood, for refreshments sponsored by the host Cadillac Club.  Many of the V8 guys will go to dinner locally afterwords.  I will certainly be there and if only one or all of you wish to come it would be great to have you participate.  No fee and no registration required, just show up and have a good time.

The 24th annual Avondale Estates Easter Parade is a great event.  Old cars, old houses and throwing candy out the windows for hundreds of waiting kids and families makes for a good time.  Here is a link with some pics from 2022, my hoodless '47 Chevy with the blue firewall can been seen in the images. https://decaturish.com/2022/04/photos-avondale-estates-easter-parade/  This years parade is sponsored by the Cadillac Club and will be attended by a few of us in the Ford V8 Club, the Model A club plus usually at least two dozen more random old cars.  Easter is Sunday March 31st this year.  This is a post-church timed event which generally happens around 11am and gathers behind the police building  These may change slightly and I will get specifics to time and meet up location when it gets closer.  I love this event and rarely miss it.

Its close to me so I may actually get to come now and then again.  Its nutty but a $20 cheeseburger is normal ITP fare these days.  I will look at it this way it is only 6 meetings a year now and one is bound to miss one here and there.  You do get a good show with it being right at the runway to watch the planes, so that is a bonus.

Harbor freight has the tool for $11.  https://www.harborfreight.com/overhead-valve-spring-compressor-59343.html
Any rope will work, close line, twine, whatever just stuff enough in there and don't forget to leave it hanging out.

Put that piston at bottom and fill the cylinder with rope through the spark plug hole, leave end hanging out.  Hand rotate motor over so piston is up, rope is in there so you don't accidentally drop the valve in.  Remove the keeper and spring using a socket and a hammer trick and work the valve up and down with dripping in solvent, gentle heat gun if you need to.  Put spring and retainer/keepers back on using one of those tools that have two hooks and a clamp to compress spring.

I wish him all the best.  My sister in law just got a kidney from a live donor, in a three way trade deal, a friend of hers tested to not be good for her but was a good donor so the hospital asked her to still donate and she said she would if they found one for my SIL, and they did.  Wild times as far as medical advances go.

Been there, great view of lake Chatuge.  The road is so steep one can barley walk it and no place to turn around except up near the top.  If you have an automatic it will be very hot by the time you get to the top, we did it once.  We stayed in a rental not far from the lookout for a week last year.  Brought the boat all the way there and never used it as time got away from us, need to go back.

Tough!

Biggest problem will be power grid related.  When every home tries to add an extra 75 amp circuit there will not be enough coal/oil fired plant created juice to go around.  All this is bound to fail, and then the politicians will shrug their shoulders and we'll move onto the next thing......I say bring back steam powered cars.

Have not done but it cant be too hard.  I assume they are cut into the bottom of the door and just splice into the footwell lights on each side.  Only issue I see is if you do not have power mirrors and/or windows you will need to add wire conduit into the doors/jams.  I bet you may find some you can remove from higher end modern cars at a boneyard.
