General Discussion / Re: Studebakers!

Charlene, past President of the Studebaker club is a friend of mine.  Lives nearby in Bethlehem.  She owns an upholstery shop and has done upholstery on several of my past vehicles and boats.

Timing wouldn't affect spark.  We believe it may be the pickup coil.

Mike has to replace the transmission on the Aerodonamic car.  Replacing a locked Isuzu with a Getrag.

It's closer to Commerce, but out of Gainesville, take US 129 South, then left onto Hwy 323.

I just looked at the place on satellite imaging and it may not be sitting in the pasture.  The place is a lot bigger than you can see from the roadway.

It had suddenly stopped running.  I went down and swapped out the ignition module, but that didn't help.  We also swapped out the pigtail from the coil to the module, but still no spark.  Mike's putting his spare time toward getting the Aerodonamic car up and going in time for Run For The Hills, so this one currently comes in 2nd.

I passed by there twice last week and didn't realize it was a business.  Just thought it was some dude that was trying to hold down the grass in his pasture.

How many dozen do you need?  I think there are 11 or 12 used in the GT dash.  I'll bring a hand full to the meeting.  While you have it out, pick up a box of new bulbs.  They come 10 to a box and are much cheaper than buying those two'fers in the blister packs.

Thank You.  I was awakened about 2 hours early this morning by Tegan, standing beside the bed with a Birthday Apple Pie and a huge proud smile.  But who can be upset with that?

I understand, Dewey.  If you're at the meeting, I'll bring the steering column part.

If you use Google Maps satellite view and zoom in on the open area at the end of the dam, there's a power pole in the center.  Place your cursor on the base of that pole and click.  It will set a marker pin and will open up a small window that will have a street view.  In the bottom of that window will be a series of numbers.  Those are the coordinates.

I get 34.908414N, -83.004425W

We're trying to find someone that can pick up our granddaughter.  There's a process that we have to go through to get a person on the approved list so that just anyone can't come and grab a child.  First we have to find someone.  If we can, Melanie and I are going to try to be there.

Delaying release?  New one on me.

Down here, the shadow passes through about the time many schools are releasing their students, or they will be in transport during the event.  Some have decided to delay release so that the kids can see the eclipse.

Jefferson, Georgia.  1985 SE 2m6.  Automatic, grey interior, spotless with no buckling.  Power mirrors.  Original black paint with the top just beginning to show    some damage.  Luggage rack.  Aftermarket chrome 5-spokes but the owner still has the immaculate original wheels and the original radio stored away.  Only 47,000 miles.

When changing out the oil pressure sending unit there's no need to make any changes in the dash.  If the sending unit has been changed and the wiring was spliced to the new terminal incorrectly, it may cause a problem, but more likely it would be a drain on the battery.  In my experience, a pegged gauge is the result of a bad sending unit or a bad ground.  If I recall, when you unplug the oil pressure sending unit, the gauge will peg with the ignition on.

I haven't checked.  I know none of the Michigan club people are staying at either hotel.

We need to have at least 10 of the rooms booked, otherwise the rates go up to regular rates.  No Discount.

Now comes the big question.  Who's Going???

I don't know what size you have, but I have been running Kumho and Hankook on my 87 and Sport Track, respectively.  215/60/15 and 225/60/15's on the 87, but I don't think Kumho offers that size any longer.  At least not through Tire Rack.
