speedometer and tachometer lights
« on: January 25, 2009, 11:32:35 am »
rob, my speedometer and tach lights have not been working for a while. i've checked all the bulbs in the back of the dash and they seem to be ok. exactly how do those to gauges light up. it does'nt seem like it could be that complicated, but i can't figure it out whats wrong, all the other lights work.   oldone in c'ville

If it's not the instrument panel fuse, try rolling the little wheel underneath the light switch.  If it's all the way down, the lights will go away.  All the way up and they get brighter.  If you roll it upward until it clicks and stops, your dome lights will come on.  Just remember to roll it back down past the click or next time you get into the car the battery may be dead because the dome lights stayed on.  How do I know?  Don't ask!

You need to check the connection in the circuit board to make sure they are making good contact. If they are then check all your fuses. If their good then you've probably got a bad circuit board.
