WTB: Heat shield by temp sensor
« on: September 15, 2019, 08:06:11 am »
As the title states, I'm looking for the heat shield that protects the temp gauge sensor.  I'm not sure how to fit it in, though.

There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Ah.  My coil packs are there, though.

Wouldn't that be detrimental to the ICM on the bottom of the coil pack, being that close to the exhaust?  That shield bolts where the base of the original coil bolted.

Well, the coil pack being mounted on the trunk wall did not work well.  Part of the issue was grounding, and part of the issue was the cheap ICM.

Michael, the coil/ICM/sensor shield is in two pieces.  There are two small screws that attach the flat base plate to the upright coil/ICM deflector shield.  The upright can be removed, leaving the sensor shield and it's base attached to the mount that you probably have your coil pack mounted on.  I have a complete deflector and shield if you can't find just the sensor shield.
