When our shop was at the airport, we occasionally went to the Flying Machine. Both my partner and his father were pilots and they liked to sit and gab about safe landings while eating. We went there because it was convenient and a change from fast foods, not necessarily because of the food. Wasn't so good up through 99 when I last ate there.
Never ate at the Downwind, but the 57th is something else. It's been a while, but even then the food was great.
For seafood, there's the Fisherman's Catch on Hwy 78 in the Stone Mountain area. It's actually a Lilburn address. It's on the East bound side of 78, across from the Home Depot, just before the intersection with Killian Hill Road. Tuesday nights, all you can eat which includes Crab Legs, fried and boiled shrimp, catfish, fries and hushpuppies and of course sweet tea.
Another seafood restaurant is the Legal Seafood Restaurant across the street from the Georgia Aquarium at the corner of Baker and Luckie Streets. If you like whole-bellied fried clams, this is your heaven. Rumor has it they get their fish from the aquarium across the street when the fish go belly up

but my Granddaughter's Mother who works at the aquarium says it isn't so. They sell them to Papadeaux's Seafood Kitchen.

For a nice little road trip and the best prime rib I think I've ever had, there's J Peters on Main Street in Anderson, SC. O'Charley's had previously been our favorite prime rib until discovering J Peters.
There's Mary Mac's Tea Room, which isn't a Tea Room but an old country kitchen setting. It's on North Avenue near Myrtle Street. Parking can be a hassle, but the food is worth it.
