At the meeting today, we discussed the repair of your 86 and working a deal with you for the 85SE.  We are willing to bring your 86 down here, pay for the fuel pump replacement with an AC Delco pump and bring the car back to you.  With that, what would it take for us to get the 85SE.  Does it have a clear title in your name?  Could we see the car prior to making a deal?  Is it a 4 cylinder or a V6?

I have already bought a new fuel pump and filter. We'll just need somebody to push the 85SE out of the shop. And Gail agrees with me on it.

I have somebody that's going to build my cradle jack and start putting them on the market for sale, with my patent on it. I know this is off subject.

I just cancelled the cradle jack builds. Somebody just stopped by here and offered to buy my gold 86GT. I turned them down.

I'll give $50 for the '84 spaceframe & another $50 for the fastback decklid that's on it. Anyone that wants to can come up & pull all the good parts off of the spaceframe to use on whatever car the club comes up with.
I do have an '88 4 cyl. 5-speed car mostly complete (with most of an '84 tan interior in it) that belongs to a friend that I can sell for $500 (or $400 & the '84), if the club wants it.

Robbie has offered an 85 coupe and Gail has agreed that he can give it to us.  Just waiting on them to give us some details on the car and some pictures so we know what we have to work with.  I wouldn't discount the possibility of getting your car, though. 

Looks like the only thing we have to work with on the car at your shop is the engine, transmission and stainless brake lines and maybe a few interior trim parts.

All I need on the '84 is the bare spaceframe. Wouldn't hurt if you left the wheels (or just the hubs) on it so I could roll it around without needing Godzilla to move it. ;-)
If I can't find a solid roof, the guy might want the sunroof panel & parts, but that's up to him.

If we get another car to transfer things over to, I'm sure you could work something with John.  He holds the title on the 84 and he has said that we could sell it to cover some of our costs.  I don't know how long it's going to take to get the car and title for the 85 from Robbie.

Roger and I are working on arrangements to come get it and for a place to store it until we can make the engine swap from the other car.  In the meantime, can you look on the title and tell us what engine and transmission it has and what year?

They are having Pumpkin Town down town this weekend, and we're going to it so it might be next weekend.

Can you just open up the title and look at it to see what it is?  It's printed on the title, so there's no need to go look at the car.

I just received a text from Gail and Robbie Finley.  The VIN number of the car they've donated is an 86SE.  It's a V6 and it's an early production car.  Number 57** of 83*** built in 86, so it's either an automatic or it's a 4-speed like Robbie thought it was.

Now, the car is inside his shop, back among some other cars.  All these cars have been sitting since Robbie's accident.  They probably won't start, even if we had jumper cables.  I don't know how many have flat tires, nor how far back the donor car is among the others. 

I would like to go up next Saturday, November 2 and get the car.  I would like to have at least 2 people with me, but I can carry three in my truck.  I'll take along spare tires and a small compressor and several outdoor power cords.  Maybe we can borrow some power from a neighboring business.  Anyone have a drop light?
