Are those for sale?  Wow!  I can think of a little 85 silver notchie those Would look great on! Too bad the factory ride is so good, or i would have upgraded a long time ago. Those really catch my eye. Nice wheels.
Ron

You might consider looking at Drag dr-19 rims. They come in a variety of colors and sizes. I bought mine from discounttire.com

Here is a picture of them on my Formula:

There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Do you think the fiero hub button will fit in the middle?

Do you think the fiero hub button will fit in the middle?

If not, you can Paul McKibben (fierosails.com) make some custom decals to apply over the hub buttons, like I have on my yellow car.

Again, today I spoke with Paul Heller of the Disabled Veterans Association.  He has found our first recipient candidate.  A Viet Nam Veteran who lost his right leg, but can manage the car or will have the accelerator moved to the left side if he is chosen.  I've not spoken with him yet, but he lives in the Douglasville area.

I just placed a call to the man mM. Heller named.  A very pleasant gentleman to speak with.  After I explained what we were doing and some of the qualifications we were looking for, he told me that he might not be the best person to receive the car.  The reason being that he's pretty secure in a financial manner.  He would prefer that we find someone more needy than he.  I asked if he might be able to help and he said he would try to help us.  I believe he was going to do some checking through the VA Hospital.

He was invited to attend our next meeting, so hopefully you all will get a chance to meet this gentleman.

A short while ago I spoke with another gentleman referred to us by the Disabled Veterans.  He is currently at Walter Reade Medical Center in Maryland receiving treatment.  He's been invited to attend the November meeting and he said he would if he has returned to Marietta by that time.

Today I met with a MAACO franchise manager to explore the possibility that they would contribute a paint job for the car.  He was interested and said he would contact the corporate offices to see if they would be interested in reimbursing him for his paint and labor.  He would want us to take all the trim off the car and they would prep and paint it, if the corporate office agrees.

UPDATE on a few items.

No work has been done on the car since our initial get together, other than replacing a shorted oil pressure sender.  We need to get this car fully roadworthy with the new wheels and tires and anything else we might find that needs to be corrected.

At the same time we work on the Warrior Project, we have the 86SE at the same location.  No one is buying parts, so I suggest that if any member wants anything from it, we allow them to have it for free as a member benefit, rather than letting everything go to the crusher.

MAACO seems to be as non-responsive to helping as they are to complaints about their paint jobs.  Even their corporate office doesn't answer their phone, so I've abandoned seeking their help and support.

The Disabled American Veterans office in Marietta has only provided one possible candidate and has quit responding to any other requests.  I also contacted an individual with FisherHouse at Fort Gordon, referred to me by GrannyLinda.  There has been no response from that individual, either.  With the board and officer's approvals, I would like to offer the car to any needy DAV in a broader area of the Southeast and seek help from Pennocks members in finding someone.
