my first modifications
« on: February 01, 2009, 05:30:20 pm »
:D I had some free time so I went though the parts in my storage building. i found a horn from my cavalier. I've always thought the horn(s) on my fiero was whimpy( reminds me of Herbie), so I swapped it out with the 1 horn the worked, on the passenger side. big differance, I know have a horn that sounds.... more manly LOL

I also recently installed amp and a 10" subwoofer

Yeah, the 86 only had 1 horn.  Advance sells a high and a low note horn at about $15 each that sounds nice on the
Fiero.  It's the same horn that was used on the DeLorean, I believe.  Does make a big difference in the sound.

mine had 2 horns. the passenger side was much louder than the driver side. the driver side sounded like a goose being strangled. to me, it sounds much better.

the big advantage of the subwoofer is that, from the inside, I cant hear the remaining exhaust leaks :)

My 85 has just 1 and both Ray and Peter's 86's only had 1 on the passenger side, so I assumed.  I just learned something.  Thanks.

My 86 SE has 2 horns. My 88 has one.

Probably one of those Skip butcher jobs.  There was a lot missing on that car when John bought it.
