Took an auto repair class yesterday.  Afterward the mechanic and one of the guys in the class took a look at my car.  Brought back many memories for them and I was accused of, "...being the one with money."

I replaced a spark coil on my yellow Fiero yesterday. It had been sitting since before the cold spell because it developed a miss. People will be seeing it again soon.

When I got to the hotel yesterday, the lady at reception noticed my Fiero.  She asked some questions about it.  For some reason, she assumed it was fast, since I had it on a trailer.  I explained, then turned around to look at my Fiero, which had several people taking note.

Was at the parts store today picking up gaskets and bolts for the EGR kits and as I was leaving, a guy in a Buick Lacrosse was pulling in.  He stopped beside me, flashing a big smile and gave me a thumbs up.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

While waiting for a red light to change its color, a car pulled up next to me.  The guy in the passenger seat indicated he wanted me to roll down my window.  After I complied, he asked, "Is that a Pontiac Fiero?"

"Yes."

He then stated, "I thought they quit making those."

Nope, they still make white Fieros.

At a stoplight on 53 @ I-85, pulled up next to a guy in a beautiful blue '69 Chevelle. We pointed at each others cars and gave each other a thumbs up.
You can't fix stupid but, you can adjust it with a 2x4.

Going through a toll booth, the attendant complimented me on my "Porsche".  No matter what I said, I coildn't convince him it wasn't a Porsche.  He insisted my Fiero was a 944 Porsche, and that I'd know, if I was a car guy.

Had a guy tell me that mine looked like a 911. He knew better, but I thanked him anyway.

Was it the car or the white t shirt and short shorts?

How disturbing...

...didn't consider my attire...

...but they were looking at the car.

TWO Fiero compliments today!

First came after an interview.  I was asked how I got into Fieros and told how nice mine looks.

Second came while driving home, the guy in the car next to me yells, "BEST OF THE 80's right there!"

Great.  Maybe they'd like to buy a Fiero.
