Selling my 84 Fiero
« on: May 14, 2016, 11:29:20 am »
I am looking to sell my dead '84 Fiero.  It went from running poorly to just not running years ago.  I have held onto it for years thinking that I might actually fix it.  That hasn't happened and it is still clogging up my father's carport.  I've had it since I was 15.  I'm 39 now.  I'm not going to do anything with it, but I don't want it to get crushed.  It's a 4 speed.  237k, but the motor has less than 100k.  The motor is a rebuild from The Fiero Store.  That was put in in 96.  It has the metal to metal timing gears and the more aggressive cam, also from the Feiro Store.  I added a rear anti-roll bar (FS) as well.  I think it has the larger Holley throttle body injector as well, but I can't recall for sure.  The radiator is upgraded to one with metal tanks.  I have the original motor as well, but it is probably pretty far gone.  I also have 3 heads, including the one on the car.  $500 OBO, just don't kill it.  Or lie to me and tell me that you won't.  It is in the Chamblee area.

Somewhere ... the Jeopardy tune is playing ...
You can't fix stupid but, you can adjust it with a 2x4.

Is that a Corvair in the pic, behind the Fiero?

Equally cool cars!

It is. Was my grandfather's. He passed away last year so my dad now has it. It runs.  It is also a convertible and sitting out in the elements.  I need to get the Fiero moved so my dad can get the Corvair under cover and on a flat surface so he can work on it. There's also a 72 Fiat 124 Spyder hanging out in the carport. It hasn't run since I was 7. Evidently the slow/no pace car repair is genetic.

Good to see it running.  It looks like a good clean car.  Did you let Stephen know?

When did you guys pick it up?  Would have liked to had lunch with you since you were close to The Galaxy Diner.

I have to say, I'm a little disappointed that when we went to go pick it up, the original poster did not offer us either bacon nor beer!

I'm still tinkering with it. It's a runner. The rescue thread is here:

I need a bumperpad nose to finish the exterior. Wasn't there one in the parts barn in white?
