I think it would be weather tight if you left the roof and door skins on it.

Paul, are you saying you're pulling the skins off your GT?

No.  I have a decent paint job.  Even though the deck is currently off.

But there was someone complaining about their maco paint job that might want to consider removing some offending panels.

Now who was that????

Red '88 GT 5-Speed, 7730ECM, 1.6 Rockers, and KEYLESS Entry!
Now with a trailer hitch for my bike rack.

Well, you have to keep the roof piece on, to keep the windshield, sunroof, and headliner.  The rear window is an issue.

Rain gets into the door panels, and lots of other places you don't want it.  The trunk is exposed, and the electronics are a question.

LOL!  Yes, that would make their Fiero suitable for entry in the parade.

I'm in favor of building a wood deck "stake bed" on the back, in place of the rear deck and mount a rocking chair on it and maybe a granny sitting on it or a leprechaun guarding a pot of gold. Rainbow is optional (in nc)

You'd have to find a suitable Indy.  Not sure about redraif's.  Raydar has a fastback conversion.  The other Fieros shouldn't be hard to find.

I wouldn't want to drive it the distance to Dublin.  A 140 mile one way drive.

Dublin is a small southern town and people are very close to the parade route.  It's desirable to have cars that will be a good representation of the Fiero and club.  Prior to the parade, when we're staged, people can walk right up to the cars to look at them, too.

My rebody is a 10' car. Paint is decent, but headlights suck, there is a crack on the rear passenger side, and other minor things that are visible on close inspection.

Mechanically, it is running fairly well currently. However, according to Google Maps, I'm almost 200 miles, each way, from Dublin. I'm a little leery of driving that far in the current condition. I didn't realize how far it was until I sat down and looked it up just now.

So... While I'd like to say "yes", I'm not sure at this point. I've only had the car since October, and am just now getting to the point where I feel comfortable going on a 50 mile drive, due to several issues. The good news is... due to all the issues, the car now has a second new battery (after the first new battery was replaced under warratny), new fuel pump, a second new fuel filter, new tires, new cap/rotor/plugs/wires, and new coolant hoses. ;) lol

I still have a few sheets of static cling decorations, several rolls of green streamer, some small St. Patrick's flats, and one larger Ireland flag that slips over the antenna.  I no longer have the hats.  They got crushed or badly wrinkled.  My Granddaughter laid claim to the Green Velvet Bowler hat.

Everyone needs to try to find some decorations at Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, or Dollar General type stores.  Michael's and Hobby Lobby sometimes has them, too.
