I'm very happy to report the operation is a success!  Mr Mike's seats soon to be transplanted and the patient is reported to be doing well!

I'm jealous.

Are you keeping the speaker holes?

Yes, the speaker holes are there, just hard to see. I replaced the factory speakers with miata Clearwater speakers. We'll see how they do. I don't have them in the car yet. Saving that for tomorrow. Pacing myself.

Nice combo. Expensive but worth it.

Starting to look for seats for my postal jeep. Someone put in a pax seat but the driver is the original non adjustable. I'm looking at pt cruiser, neon, cobalt for seats to adapt.

I think Mr. Mike's leatherette is only about $400.

Exactly! $$$ but worth it.

Used late model leather buckets can be had for $60-100 each, but I would not want to put anything besides fiero seats in a fiero.
I've bought cars for less than $400 (not counting auction fees :().

I went all in for the actual cow's booty. I figure, I'm not looking at how much i spend anymore in terms of putting money in the car, because i don't plan on selling it, so there's no investment or wasted money equation, and I'm building it up for me with that in mind, I waited and saved until I was able to get what makes me happy....be it cow's ass.
It's funny how cow's butt smells better than vinyl.

I congratulate you on doing what you really wanted.  I originally planned on going leather, also, but was talked out of it.  Apparently, although you would think that the leather would be more durable and an altogether better choice, apparently the leatherette is better for temperature reasons.  I don't remember the entire discussion, but the case was very convincing.

Here's after install. The weird blue-charcoal grey colour was matched perfectly. Mr Mike calls that colour "midnight".  Now, on to the dash!

You're getting me motivated to change, but my seats are still in good condition.

What are you planning on doing to the dash?

If I changed anything about my dash, I'd go to a Firebird dash.  I'd also do the center console, doors, and instrument cluster.  But that's a lot of work.
