« on: April 15, 2018, 05:49:45 pm »

Starting place and time and details of the cruise to come shortly.

2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

I invited Mike to ride with me.  If I can get my 86 heater core repaired in time, Dave can drive my 87 and Mike and I will go in the 86.  By virtue of the 86 handling so poorly on the curves, you know it's truly going to be a cruise.

Dave's Fiero isn't up to a cruise?  I just hoped that the aerodon Fiero could lead the cruise.  Maybe another year.

Dave's transmission went Kaflooie.  He picked up a replacement from f85gtron on Saturday.  Dave's working some extremely long hours.  I don't think there will be enough time for him to get it swapped out.  The Aerodonamic still has the broken exhaust stud and easy-out in the engine.

Is there any interest in this cruise? If so, it's next weekend. If not, we will have to pick another date.
The plan, if it happens, is to re-do the polar bear run route.

I should be able to make it.  It's supposed to be in sunny and in the low 70's.  I'll at least meet up with everyone and drive as far as I can.  Michael said he would ride along with me.  I offered Dave the 87 if my 86 is fixed.  Roger is coming by this week to swap out my heater core in the 86, so it should be good for me to drive.

Again, with my pain and driving a poorly handling 86, It will definitely be a cruise for me.

What's the meeting point and time?  Are there enough route sheets for everyone?  If not enough folks show, those of us that do can go to a Waffle House or IHOP for breakfast together.

I always wanted to sling some paint.  Here, I have to paint in straight lines, and be careful of the edges.  For some reason, whenever I mention slinging paint, people start making suggestions of drop cloths.  One small incident on the hardwood floors, and they never forget.

Depending upon how large the crowd is (or isn't) going to be, I'd be quite okay with rescheduling.
Tammy's got a class this weekend, anyway. And she said she would've liked to ride along.

Tuesday AM edit - With that said... if the decision is made to proceed, I'm planning on being there.

No word from Roger for a bit.  Maybe he'll pop up.

Roger was here today and I had spoken with him earlier.  He will not be able to make it.  I was at Northlake Automotive this morning and Michael is planning to go to the big Summit Racing show at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Whatever happens, Tegan and I are going for a ride in the mountains.
