What materials were used for the headlight buckets and assemblies? Are they plastic, aluminum, pot metal...?

Without going out and examining one, and based on my memory from changing one (after my Formula accident), my guess is polymer, the same stuff used for modern pistol frames.

Is that more of a metal or a plastic?
Mine aren't stock, but I went out and tapped on them, and scraped them with my fingernail. No conclusion.
