Copper fittings?
« on: March 30, 2019, 07:07:13 pm »
Does the Fiero have copper fittings?  I was expecting brass, but after cleaning it, it looks like copper.

If I replace with brass, any issues?

Where are the fittings?
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Well, 1 fitting.  The CTS fitting appears to be copper.

On my cars, the reducer has been regular metal.  I have replaced at least 1 with a brass reducer.  The base of the sensors are all brass.  Copper is more susceptible to corrosion so I would suspect they would be brass.  The first thing copper that comes to mind is the heater core.

I thought of the heater core, which is why I specified fitting.  I have never seen pink brass, however.
