« on: September 02, 2019, 09:26:56 am »
Hi all,
I am in need of various small parts for the doors. The long screws for the arm rests (3 or 4 would suffice)The plastic fasteners that screw into the door panels (don't know exactly what they are called (8 or 9 would be great!).
Thnx!

Don, can you give us a picture of the fasteners?  I think I know what you're talking about, but want to be sure.

Charlie,
I'd have to take the doors apart again, to take a picture (which I guess I'll do when I lubricate the windows  :D ).They are the fasteners that twist into the door panels and then you push on the panels to get them to pop into the door frame.

How many you need?  I know I have some in my big bag of clips and fasteners.

A word of caution when replacing them.  The one that goes at the bottom rear of the door panel needs about 1/4 to 3/8 inch cut off.  It interferes with the window mechanism if you don't cut it.  That was a factory fix.

Do you also have the screws for the arm rests?I could use about 8 of the fasteners and 3 or 4 of the screws.

I don't think I have armrest screws.  I have a door pane and I count 8 fasteners.  There are two styles that GM used.  The door panels are the ones that have an oval step on the top of them.  I'll pick up some at the parts store.  How you want them shipped?   If you want them by postal, I can take them out of the package and put them in a small blister pack envelope.

Charlie,
Which ever way is the least inconvenient for you.
Much appreciated!

PS: Heading for the Riviera on Thursday evening and won't be back for 3 weeks, so no rush.

Got a postcard with a beautiful picture from the water, showing sailboats, and the homes.  Wonder if it was from his yacht.

Picture was taken from our small yacht, big one was in the shop for an oil-change. :D

Probably in Saudi, with a feed tube directly from one of the oil wells.

Donster's back!
