RFTH 25
« on: January 01, 2020, 09:18:29 pm »
I would like to request that the RFTH 25 be moved 1 week. It doesnt matter to me if it moves up to the 2nd weekend or down to the last weekend of September. Anyone agree or disagree with moving it?

There seem to be a lot of conflicting events, which may possibly prevent other groups from attending.  Forward a week would be meeting day, back a week would seem to allow other groups to have their thing, and possibly then attend RFTH.  That could only be a good thing.

I have 2 routes in mind.  Both end in Gatlinburg.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

You can't fix stupid but, you can adjust it with a 2x4.

If it is moved, I need to know as quickly as possible so I can start working on hotel arrangements.

I also suggest that if it's moved, that it be moved to the last (4th) weekend of September.  Moving to the 2nd weekend will put it at the end of Labor Day week.  The third weekend is the same as normally scheduled.

The 4th weekend will push it (perhaps) closer to "Not-Sober-Fest". May make it interesting, if it's based out of Helen. (Take that however you like.)

Staying away from Helen.  I am considering Dawsonville or Dahlonega as a starting point, ending in Gatlinburg.

Are there any other conflicting events scheduled for the 4th weekend?

No worries.  9/28 is the Monday after, as in the next day.
