A mix?

What is the engine in the red Fiero?

Is Budgetman's Fiero a 3800SC?

I think the red (85 GT) is a stock 2.8. That would make the engines from front to back, 3.4, 3800NA, 2.8, 3800SC.

The red one is an 85 GT. The yellow one is probably 86 or 87. I zoomed in on the back wheel in another picture, and it doesn't have have 88 brakes.

All 4 V6 years are represented.  85, 86, 87, and 88.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Yes, so I currently have one solid roof car, one sun roof car, and one t-top car.

Hmmm.  So, which roof type do you prefer?

The t-top roof, for it's uniqueness and coolness factor. Number 2 would be the solid roof, because sun roof seem to be so common that the solid roof seems more unique.
A t-top car with perfect original seals and a 3800 engine would be ideal.

My head prefers the solid roof, but I think the sunroof looks better.  Unfortunatrly, sunroofs tend to leak.

...

My coupe has a solid roof. It's actually kind of grown on me. None of the finicky adjustments, gaskets, and delam around the edges that I've seen on a number of sunroof cars. Simplicity has its benefits.

But yeah... I had a T-top car, many years ago. I get the allure, but I found it a pain to have to stop, whenever a "change" needed to be made. You can't just "pop the latch" like you can with a sunroof car. I ended up trading the car, mostly due to the scarcity (real or perceived) of replacement/repair parts. The car that I received in trade (a black Formula) became my gray fastback.

Here they are...

Some years ago, I almost bought a black notchie.  I made arrangements with the seller, that I'd stop by on a particular day, at a set time.  I called, then drove 4+ hours to get there.  The guy sold the car before I called, so the drive was for nothing.  I did get to see the car, though.  We went to eat, and the car was stopped nearby, dead.  The buyer was really mad.  I gave him a ride back to the seller.  Apparently, the car had been misrepresented.
