Tail light issues?
« on: August 06, 2020, 09:03:12 am »
You don't need to drive your car if you don't want.  You can look at mine and see up close what's happening.  There's another spot that's appeared.  Not a crack, but looks like a bubble.

I didn't want to clutter up the meeting thread.  What is wrong with the tail lights?

On each is what appears to be a crack.  Keith said it's a mold mark.  If so, it should be the same on all lenses.

Well, you saw the pics I took of a set.  If you recall, my passenger side had fitment issues.  Your theory was that they all should, if it was a mold issue.  Obviously, it was not.  I saw another set with blemishes the set I had did not exhibit.  I had seen sets with air pockets, and a set where the plastic was way too thin.  This is the first I have heard of the issue you are reporting.  I have yet to see a set without flaws.

Yes, both my lenses have areas that look like air bubbles.  There is one on each area that looks like a crack, and now another has appeared in a different area.  Still, they are much better than the old OEM lenses.

I would like to get installed pics side by side for comparison.

The OEM lenses are beautiful.  Keith's materials are different, but I'm not sure about overall quality.

What was the determination on your lenses?
