Engine Mount
« on: June 13, 2021, 11:52:30 am »
I need an engine mount for a '88 2.8 w/manual tranny.

GM p/n 10113140.

This is the metal 'horse collar', NOT the cushion mount.
You can't fix stupid but, you can adjust it with a 2x4.

The bracket appears to be the same for both the auto and the manual, but you have to get one from an '88 2.8.

Have you tried handymanpat?  Or Todd?

There's one in my parts car, but I'd rather not remove now. The new plan for the car is to take it to Zack's new place after July 1, where it can be stripped at leisure in his new shop.
The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play.

Yes. We have a stack of new projects that the great and powerful Nomad is offering to house.

Aside from all of the BS that had nothing to do with a motor mount, AND an '86 to '88 mount will work with a manual tranny, you mean to tell me nobody (considering all of the engine swaps going on) has one laying around?

Pretty sure that this is the bracket that Roger needs.
(There has been a small piece welded to the top corner of this one, but it's still the same bracket. This is opposed to the L-shaped bracket that most everyone is familiar with.)
