I never replaced the egr because it was good, just the egr gasket was bad.  The po must have replaced it at some point because it is not the original part and there are no part numbers on it.  I suspect it is a bwd or equivalent because it looks exactly the same as the one pictured in the pff how to's.  I'll pop off the intake end of the tube and have a look-see.

The below picture shows aftermarket and stock EGR valves. The aftermarket valve has the proper washer peened into place. Notice that on the stock valve, the valve mechanism protrudes beyond the opening.

Mine is the one on the left....minus the restrictor washer.....  couldn't i just drill a hole in a nickel and stake that in place?
I might have some ss washers with simular diameters i could stake in there too....

A washer that looks like the picture should work OK.

I believe that number 11 stamped on that reducer washer stands for 11/32 inch hole. 
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.

3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers
