There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

This will probably the same routes they offered last year.  There were some very good Fiero roads, though rough and narrow and you are restricted to the speed limits by the other vehicles traveling along with you.  But this is a leisure driving event.  Lots of very very back roads that only locals use.

Let's see if we can get more than two or three cars to come out this year.  It's close enough to Atlanta and you should have enough time to sober up from your New Year Eve parties.

I talked with Scott and Roger a little earlier and Scott and Leann are planning to go plus one of Scott's friends is going to drive his BMW.  Roger is planning to ride along with me.  Don and Darrel may come, too.

Because of the needed reservations and the limited parking at the Woodbridge Restaurant, we plan to return to Hwy 369 just east of the intersection with Hwy 372 and have a good BBQ dinner at Amos's BBQ at the corner of 369 and Hightower.

Anyone coming bring your FRS radio.

Some pictures...
Inspector Clouseau's car...

Somewhere in there is a little engine.

A little MG 4-banger with a blower.

Fieros in the group.

The Woodbridge Inn. Appropriately, you have to cross a wood bridge to get there.

In addition to the great cars in the run, one of the Porsche owners solicited people who wanted to go on a little more 'spirited drive' so to speak.  Well, wouldn't you know that there were 3 Fiero drivers and a Dodge Charger Daytona driver that volunteered, along with one BMW driver.  Well, we spent the day running the back roads with 4 late model Porsches, 1 vintage Porsche, and a BMW.  At the beginning there was a Solstice leading us, but when the lead Porsche threw a trouble code, we had to stop for him to check with Porsche to see if it was safe to continue.  It was so off we went, unimpeded.  And those Fieros and the Charger didn't do too bad hanging with the German crowd.  Not saying they couldn't have left us in the mist, but just saying that they didn't.
