Bolts or studs?

And why?

Mine uses bolts, for aesthetic reasons.  I haven't been pleased with the results of using studs, such as on the EGR valve.

The theory with studs was that they were less likely to break off in the head, easier to remove if they broke off, and easier to lube.

Studs because there are 2 points of release instead of just 1 in case of seizure.

I would recommend copper based anti-seize. It works much better than graphite based.

Studs because,
- as stated before, more options other than drilling heads,
- adds more options to catch your knuckles on so you'll have more "street cred" when Rollin' with your homies to the galaxy diner.  ...just sayin'

I know you have made your choice but another reason for studs it also help keep the gasket lined up on the install
