Fiero exhaust

The V6's mostly have the trumpet exhaust.  What is that exhaust with the tapered end called?

No one?  When I first saw the tips, I thought they were aftermarket.  They are long, with just a single tip on each side.  They're chromed.

Could be the 85SE V6.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Almost.  The tips I'm looking for stuck way out the back.

If it's just a single tip on each side, it's aftermarket. I think Scott's car has tips like that.

Edit - If the tips were really long, and had louver-looking ends with caps on them, they are probably Supertrapps.

The sound is adjusted by adding or removing diffusers (discs) to the end.

Not like that.  Narrow, and straight, until where the tip is partly closed.

I'm curious about the tips on page 12 of the May 2019 newsletter, but also like those that are longer, extending past the rear fascia, and one on each side, IIRC.

If it was a quad exhaust system, it would have been on an 85SE.  The SE had the 'bumper pad' rear fascia which had a different contour than the GT fascia.  That may be what gives the appearance of protruding further.  See if Ron768 can provide a picture of his car.

Yeah, still waiting on Ron768 to provide some pictures of his Fiero from March.

I did see an '85SE on Friday, but his exhaust tips did not protrude past the fascia.

They are probably aftermarket tips.  That's an 87 (decklid 2m4 gives it away) so the rear fascia had to be changed or modified for the extra tail pipe.  Pat has something similar on his 88 though they may be quad tips.

The 87SE 2m4 had quad tips, but I'm not sure of the style.  I believe they were the megaphone style like the GT.

Pic stolen from PFF.  Guy claims it's an '88.

It could be and he added the trunk decal.

Surely not a stock spoiler, and the wheels...

I have these tips on my car. They are slide-on tips over the stock tips. Pilot part no. PMZ-022.

BTW, i think the wing on that other car is ugly.
Edit: The wheels on that car are stock for an 88 coupe. Mine used to have those wheels.
