RFTH 25 Scouting and Documentation Trial Run
« on: February 26, 2020, 10:33:09 pm »
I would like to do the scouting run on March 21.  Lots of stuff is beginning to happen and that's one of the dates I will be able to do the trial run.  It's just a one day thing, so who wants to go along?

Depending upon how my shoulder is, I may have to ride along with someone.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Paul, we will probably start in Dawsonville for the trial run and travel up through Dahlonega to begin the route.  Final starting point will be determined by the best hotel prices between Dawsonville and Dahlonega.   Our destination will be Gatlinburg, TN.

Anyone coming up through Gainesville could pick up with us at the end of Ga. 400 at the intersection with Hwy 60.  Mike21 could couple with us in Morganton at Hwy 60 and US 76.

I can probably go on the trial run.
The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play.

So far three people, two cars.  I don't have mine back yet.  Not sure I could handle the curves even if I did have it.

I can drive my truck and can probably drive the car but I can't make sudden moves or moves requiring a lot of force with my left arm.  My  left arm won't lift high enough to go to the top of the steering wheel.  I'm good on straight roads and normal curves but I'm not sure how I'd do on sharp curves and switchbacks.  Especially at any speed.

I did get a call this afternoon from John telling me the car should be ready by this weekend.  They repainted the whole right side.

Yes.  This won't be an all-out run.  More laid back.

Are you still doing the trial run with the latest on the virus? I'm referring to the request of the Feds to avoid discretionary travel.
