WOT tech not supporting LQ1 anymore
« on: November 12, 2020, 11:55:23 pm »
I went to look for a few last items for my motor build and was surprised to see the whole LQ1 page is gone. They still seem to carry a few items, but mostly just things that cross over to the other 60v6 options.

Was a surprise to say the least. I reached out to them through their site and will update, but for now it seems they are gone, along with the information the listings provided.

From what I have gathered, it seems that it's been leaning that way for some time. Lots of LQ1 parts are "unobtainium".

Hope you find what you need. I'll be there, soon enough. Although mine is already screwed together.  (Thanks, msweldon.)

For us (meaning me) newbies... what engine is the  LQ1 ?
1988 Fiero Base 4cyl 5spd.
1986 Fiero GT ... Parting out. Let me know if you need something.

3.4 DOHC, as made from 1991 to 1997. Basically a 3.4 pushrod engine modified to use overhead camshafts.
The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play.

That is the exact reason that the common engines were listed in the Spring newsletters.  That engine is in the April 2020 newsletter.

He got back in touch. Basically no one had been buying parts for the past few years save a few of us. So he pulled the page and stopped his production runs for his add ons. He can still get a few things but nothing will be stocked. Boo.
