Fiberglass....anyone willing to mentor me?
« on: March 14, 2011, 11:27:39 pm »
Ok, it's not a Fiero, but it still has the 2 genuine Fiero bolts on the engine cover....

The front lower lip of the Elise is cracked from an errant groundhog, and I'd like for one of you fiberglass gurus to show me how to repair it myself.  I'd pay for the materials (just let me know what I need to buy), and your time helping me repair it.

I'm willing to do all of the labor, and you get the side benefit of being able to point and laugh as I attempt to follow your instructions.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

Whodeanie is a whiz at that stuff.  He's running a thread on PFF at the moment offering to mentor people in How To...whatever.  You can also find his contact info here if you go to the members list.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Are you a club member?
Come out here (near Commerce) & work on it & you can use my tools & I'll show you what to do.
Or just leave the car here for me to drive a few weeks & I'll fix it for free.  ;D

I sent whodeanie a PM, i forgot my password on Pennocks, and don't have access to that e-mail anymore.  I might have to create a new account.

Paul, I may take you up on that.  Not the leaving it part though lol.  With the time it takes to remove the clam, it would probably be a good idea for me to pull the front clam off, load it into cows truck, and haul it down.

Re: club member....no, but I've been meaning to join to support the club....even though I don't own a Fiero.  I'm the bright green lotus that has joined you guys for a few events.

Send me an email & I'll send you my phone number. I would like to see the whole car, if you're not too far away to bring it by one day. Unfortunately I haven't been able to attend any events or meetings for a while...(no money)  :(
You can email me at ImThaDriver at yahoo.
