About to crush a rust free 88 chassis
« on: June 26, 2011, 11:32:26 pm »
The car is stripped to the bare chassis...no parts left.  Anyone need any sections off it for collision or rust repair before I crush this thing?  Only rust is the battery tray.  Bottom of the trunk has been crushed a bit from lifting with it.

Are the front wheel bearings still there?
Does it have a rear sway bar, and are all the parts to that still there?
The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play.

Only thing left on the frame is a bit of the HVAC system, and some of the dash wiring that wasn't worth trying to snake out to save.  Rear swaybar is going on my 86 along with the rest of the rear suspension....and the front suspension setup is being rebuilt for another project.

Before you crush it, have you sent 88databaseguy the information on the car?  He likes to have the color, options, VIN, etc.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Yes, he already has it listed as KIA.

Check with Whodeanie.  Today he said he has an 88 front end collision to repair that he needs the front section from another car.

It hasn't been crushed yet, I got lazy.  I also decided to keep the engine compartment to test fit swaps.  I got hold of Whodeanie last night/this morning and am making arrangements to get him the front end.

I am very happy to see this much of it being used...I really hate disposing of Fiero parts.
