88 GT on eBay... WTH?
« on: August 26, 2015, 11:56:31 am »
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pontiac-Fiero-GT-/291548757990?forcerrptr=true&hash=item43e1a8ffe6&item=291548757990

From the text...
"I have owned this car for over 3 years now, always garaged and driven regularly, but never in bad weather.
The previous owner was the President of the Georgia Fiero Club, who kept the car in top condition."

News to me, but whatever.

But... $12,500?! The guy is delusional.

One of Ron Rizzi's cars.  I think he beat Ron down to about $4000 or less.  A great car, but not worth the current asking price.

Is that the car that Nathan had?

I had forgotten about that one.

I believe so.  He traded it to Ron for a 5-speed that John and Sandy had.  I see what appears to be some paint delamination along the aero molding on the quarters and doors.  It could be light reflection, but they appear to be in the same place from different angles.

I'll tell you what...a panel off strip and repaint, all new glass, rebuilt engine & trans, new headliner, new wiring harness' and a chemical dip rust preventer and I just might consider paying that price.
You can't fix stupid but, you can adjust it with a 2x4.

Actually, Hulki said that the Fiero suspension design had nothing to do with Lotus suspension.

It's true.  When selling to anyone that's not familiar with the Fiero, it's true that Lotus designed the suspension.  If it's not in writing, it can't be disputed.  Used Car Sales Law.

I own one and I believe it. Not because it's true. That's irrelevant. I believe it because I prefer to substitute your reality for mine because I like yours better. Thank you.
Ron

Oh, and one more thing.....when countless people approach me and say how cool my car looked in "Back To The Future", I've learned to just nod in agreement. I've accepted that into my reality as well. If you can't beat em'....join em'.
