I've been in contact with The Fiero Farm in South Carolina and Todd tells me he will be in Loganville on the 10th.  If he has time, he will drop in on our meeting or tech session.

2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

We're going to Mike's early in the morning, take a lunch break around regular meeting time then return to Mike's.

I've made several calls to his cell phone but haven't gotten an answer or response.  I don't know.

I hate to ask this, but in the event that Mike isn't up to a tech event on Saturday, are there alternate plans?  Presumably, the fastback would be unavailable, but perhaps the tech day could still be planned with a few tweaks and an alternate venue.

I talked with Michael about an hour ago, and he's still suffering.  He and his mechanic both have the flu so the shop has been closed down.  Michael said he's going to go back to work tomorrow, regardless, and is hoping his mechanic, who developed symptoms a day or two before Michael, will be able to return, also.

I'm glad to read this good news, for Michael's sake and for the shop.

This is not a good thing, IMHO. The flu that is going around is killing people. I hope that Mike recovers, before he over-extends himself. (I still remember the "broken hand" thing.)

With that out of the way...
What time are people planning on showing up at Mike's. After an entire week of getting up at ~5 AM, I'm not the most energetic "morning person", by the time the weekend rolls around.

I called his shop today and he was still closed.

If he's able to open up Saturday, I plan to be there around 9AM.  Maybe we could migrate up to Pat's and work on the 3800 if Mike's not up to opening up and Pat and Linda are Ok with that?

Speaking for myself, it's OK with me. And I have an idea for something to check on the 3800. Fuel pressure. Does anyone know where the Schrader valve is on that engine?
I drove it a few feet last weekend, to move cars around. I had to get a running start just to back it over the low curb at the entrance to our driveway. I'm thinking that low fuel pressure could cause it to lose power when you hit the gas pedal.
The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play.
