Make note of where the oem tape was placed.  Also leave several 1/4 inch gaps in the tape across the bottom for drainage.

The trim tape is very thin.  Did the tape come loose or did the paint release from the window?  If it was the paint that released, they didn't print them with the propler ink.

The proper tape is a double side foam tape. Per Paul McKibben's Fiero Sails website "The tape for fastback quarter windows is 1/2" wide x 3 mm thick (120 mils) Very High Bond (VHB) closed-cell white acrylic tape with adhesive on two sides. The 3M product number for a 36 yard roll is 4959. "

Edited:  In his info, he says that it comes in a 36 yard roll but you may be able to get shorter rolls at https://www.tapecase.com/search?keyword=3M%204949%20VHB%20Tape

Clicking on the tape says it's discontinued and directs you to a substitute #5952 VHB tape.   It might be possible to call Matt at The Fiero Store and ask if they can sell you some fresh tape since you got the windows from them.

Most centers have a community center or dining area where they have their meals if it's assisted living.  I could set it up so we have lunch with the residents and make the presentation at that time and let those who want to see the cars.  I'm sure they would provide a free meal for us.  They have a huge dining hall.

I would prefer to have a few people with me.  We could even do a mini car show for them. We could still do it on the same Saturday June 15.

Since it has already been approved, should we still make the donation?  Anyone want to go along if we do?

Ms. Cudger has notified us that she has canceled the car show and cookout due to insufficient response.  It was my understanding that we were the only club.

This thread will be open to replies until 12-Noon, Saturday, May 18, 2024.  Only paid members' responses will be tabulated.

The location of the Car Show and Cookout is Dunwoody Pines Retirement Community 4355 Georgetown Square, Dunwoody, GA 30338

There is a proposal to donate $1000 to the Dunwoody Senior Center when we attend the Car Show and Cookout in June.  Because there weren't enough officers present at the May 11 we need to do it this way.  A quorum of Ron Robinson, Jason McCall, and myself have discussed and agreed to hold the meeting in this manner.

There will be a restriction on what the Senior Center can use the donation for.  It isn't to go into their general fund, but is to be used for such items such as:
-A framed commemorative (triangle) flag for their Veterans Wall,
-Uno Cards
-Mexican Train Dominoes
-Foldable Poker Table or tabletop for the men
-Giant or regular Jenga
-Raised garden beds (high enough for residents to stand or sit in wheelchairs)
-Pedometers for walking club residents (30)
-Old school digital radio for billiards room
-Medium sized canvases for painting classes
-Nail supplies and polishes of manicures done weekly by me for residents who can't afford to pay for this service
and number of other items are suggested.
(Note:  By Me means Ms. Cudger, who is the activities director)

They will be required to provide receipts for all purchases so we know how the donation is spent.  Those receipts will be open records for any paid member to view.

With that said, I make a motion that we donate $1000 to the Dunwoody Pines Retirement Community.  Do I have a Second on the motion?

By The Way, this is also a Father's Day Event to honor the Fathers, as well as the Veterans, including Father and Veteran car show participants.
